#MyFirst100Days: Join Me For A Practical Campaign to Build the World We Want Through Personal Respon

On January 20th, I begin a period I'm calling "My First 100 Days."

  • 100 Days of my First Term as the true creator and master of my own life and actions.

  • 100 Days of taking personal responsibility for what I can change and releasing that which I can't.

  • 100 Days of committing to creating my own inner peace as a foundation for World Peace.

  • 100 Days of committing to my personal wellness as a foundation for Human Wellness.

  • 100 Days of education on any subjects on which my ignorance is holding me back.

  • 100 Days of showing up in the practical ways that I can for the well-being of my community, my state, my country and my world.

Coincidentally, Donald J. Trump also begins his First 100 Days of his First Term as President of the United States of America on that same day. (The First100 Days of a presidency is used as a litmus test for the efficacy of a President's term.)

These First 100 Days of his Presidency will hold a lot of energetic momentum in a specific direction. (Click here to see what he's promised the American people.)

SO WILL MINE.

I would like to invite you all to join me for this campaign, and to commit, in the ways that you can and are willing, to showing up powerfully for your own wellness, your own inner peace, and for the benefit of humanity, in actionable, specific, achievable ways. "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

My hope is that if enough of us can move powerfully, in a focused way in the direction of love, peace, positivity, hope, courage and connection, that together we might offset the energetic movement that is happening in the opposite direction.

In practical terms, my goals are this:

  • Education:

  • Finish the books: "Awakening The Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das, "The Heart of the Revolution" by Noah Levine, "Insight Meditation: The Practice of Freedom" by Joseph Goldstein.

  • Study non-violent action and resistance, including the works of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior and Ghandi.

  • Connection:

  • Train in non-violent communication

  • Reach out to at least 10 people who share opposing views to mine and have a respectful, meaningful conversation aimed at understanding and empathy

  • Action:

  • Attending the Women's March LA on Jan. 21st

  • Volunteer for the Skid Row Carnival of Love on Jan. 28th

  • Volunteer at least once a month for a non-profit

  • Take part at least once a month in some non-violent action/demonstration

  • Personal Wellness/Inner Peace:

  • Meditate at least 10 minutes every single day.

  • Practice yoga every single day.

  • Practice mindful eating every single meal.

  • Disengage from Facebook and Instagram for 100 days.

  • Disengage from television, only using media for research for 100 days.

  • Go to a meditation center and practice in community once a week.

  • Set daily communication blocks, and otherwise disconnect from email and phone.

  • Fulfilling My Purpose/Building My Career:

  • Taking an online course in Ableton

  • Set up a functional home recording studio

  • Self-record as a tool for learning practical recording skills

  • Creating and maintaining an account with vocalist services Vocalizr and Studio Pros

  • Write 2 songs

  • Practicing guitar three times a week

  • Learn to play 2 songs on Harmonium

  • Finish "All You Need To Know About The Music Business" by Donald Passman

If you're interested in joining me for this campaign, please email me and let me know.

If you wish to reach me, I'll still be available here via email, and I'll still be emailing once a week to connect with you all.

Sending you a lot of love and strength for your First 100 Days.
