Two weeks ago today, something very special happened in Hollywood at Sayers Club...

A talented team of performers, production professionals and activists got together to produce a charity concert event called, "This. Is. Love.: Songs of Resistance, Compassion and Hope" to raise money for Freedom for Immigrants.

Below is a highlight reel assembled from footage shot by Orrin Pratt, edited by Ben Caron, featuring performances by Adam Pascal (RENT the Movie, School of Rock, RENT & Aida Broadway), Tracie Thoms (RENT the Movie, The Devil Wears Prada, 9-1-1, Love), Shoshana Bean (Billboard chart-topping artist, Waitress, Wicked Broadway), Rogelio Douglas, Jr. (Orange Is The New Black, Parks & Rec, In the Heights, The Little Mermaid Broadway), Mario Jose (Superfruit, Postmodern Jukebox, American Idol), Kenton Chen (Postmodern Jukebox), LaVance Colley (Postmodern Jukebox), Carrie Manolakos (Postmodern Jukebox, Wicked, Mamma Mia! Below are behind the scenes and performance photo slideshows, photography by Jon Faifer:

An incredible cast of performers offered inspiring performances, and an electric group of supporters cheered, sang and danced throughout the night.

Luckily, photographer/videographer/actress Ruby Lewis was on site to capture the vibe of the evening in this red carpet coverage video:

Photographer/actor/director Hank Jacobs also lent his talents to capture these red-carpet photos:

THANK YOU so much to everyone who came out to this event, who donated money to the charity, and who offered their talents.

Many Hearts. One Intention.

COLLECTIVE ASCENSION is a transformational event series where many hearts unite with one intention: to raise the collective consciousness through live music, dance, conversation and community.

Our Winter Solstice event brings us together on the longest night of the year to celebrate the return of the sun at the vibey DTLA studio space: LAVish Studios, Stage 3. Come early to connect with the community and set your intentions for the new season!

Featuring an opening live-music chakra activation, live performances from Bradley Keys, Ben Caron and an ecstatic dance sound journey to close the night with Psymphonic (the new project from sound healer/producer Ryan Seay and hooping artist Paige LaWall.)

That's all I got for now, thanks for reading!
